Fisher has elementary, junior high and high school in town. Total enrollment is around 600 and th elatest ACT composite is 20.4.
Parkland College is primarily a two-year college offering vocational and transfer degrees in over 100 different areas. Parkland also offers advanced degrees through partnerships with Eastern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Springfield, Franklin University, Olivet-Nazarene University and Greenville College. Parkland also offers nine sports teams and numerous student organizations.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is one of the preeminent research universities in the world. Eleven alumni of UIUC, including nine university faculty, have been named Nobel Prize Laureates and 18 alumni and two faculty members are Pulitzer Prize recipients. Fisher is located sixteen miles east of I-74 and nine miles west of I-57 on State Route 136.
